Position: Assistant Professor of Professional Practice 9 month position beginning August 2022.
Requirements: The position requires a PhD or EdD (ABD considered) with an emphasis in physical education teacher education (PETE). Previous university-level teaching experience in physical education and sport and coaching education at the undergraduate level is highly desirable. Prior K-12 teaching experience preferred.
Professional Duties: The successful candidate will teach courses primarily in the PETE program with some related area course responsibilities, supervise student teachers, and recruit and advise undergraduate majors. The successful candidate is also expected to enhance the PETE program, establish service learning opportunities for PETE students, be involved in scholarship activities, contribute to the mission of the department in undergraduate education, and engage in departmental, college, and university service.
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
