The Neeley School of Business at Texas Christian University invites applications for the position of Assistant or Associate Professor of Professional Practice in Healthcare, depending on qualifications. The individual in this position will provide leadership in the development and growth of the Neeley School's healthcare-related curriculum and programs. This position is open to candidates with expertise at the intersection of healthcare and business; we are open to candidates from any business discipline and varied perspectives, including but not limited to healthcare economics, healthcare administration, and healthcare policy. This position will be a professional practice appointment as described below. The position will be available August 2023.

Department Details
The Neeley School is one of 789 business programs accredited by AACSB International and one of 186 programs holding specialty accreditation in accounting. The Neeley School offers a suite of MBA and MS degrees and certificates, including a Healthcare concentration in the Professional MBA program and a graduate certificate in Health Policy and Management. Additionally, TCU has strong undergraduate and graduate programs in nursing and the recently named Burnett School of Medicine.

School/College Description
The TCU Neeley School of Business is comprised of six academic departments including Accounting, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Information Systems and Supply Chain Management, Management and Leadership, Marketing, and Finance. The TCU Neeley School of Business has an annual enrollment of 3,248 (2021-2022) undergraduate and graduate students, 215 employees and 24,595 alumni. The Neeley School is proud to be fully accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International) for our undergraduate and graduate programs. In addition, our Accounting department is among an elite number (less than 200) accredited by AACSB.

TCU Neeley has been nationally ranked in several outlets, including 19th by Poets and Quants in their recent rankings of Best Undergraduate Business Programs. Careers and Employment Opportunities was ranked at #10 in the U.S. and #1 in Texas by Poets & Quants. TCU Neeley was ranked 15th in undergraduate Entrepreneurial Studies in 2020 according to The Princeton Review and Entrepreneur magazine. The MBA program has been ranked 45th in the U.S. by The Economist, and 1st for MBA Faculty Quality. The undergraduate supply chain program was ranked 14th in North America and the graduate supply chain program was ranked 16th in North America by Gartner. The Executive MBA program was ranked 13th in the world, 8th in the U.S. and 1st in Texas by The Economist. TCU’s accounting graduates regularly achieve the #1 CPA exam pass rate in Texas. The accounting program was ranked 20th in the U.S. for undergraduate programs and 21st among graduate programs of its size by the Public Accounting Report.

University & Fort Worth Description

Founded in 1873, Texas Christian University sits on 302 acres nestled in a primarily residential part of Fort Worth, just minutes away from downtown. The University includes seven schools and colleges, in addition to the John V. Roach Honors College and the Burnett School of Medicine.

Required Application Materials & Application Instructions
The position requires a terminal degree in a business, healthcare, or relevant higher education discipline, including law, plus professional experience at the intersection of business and healthcare. ABD candidates will be considered, with the expectation of completing the degree by August 2023. The successful applicant will become a faculty member within one of the six departments within the Neeley School (Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Information Systems and Supply Chain Management, Marketing, and Management and Leadership). Candidates for this position should have a strong record of accomplishment as a teacher, with significant experience as a leader within the healthcare industry a plus. Candidates should be capable of teaching graduate level courses at the intersection of business and healthcare, as well as graduate and undergraduate courses in their home discipline/department. Candidates will also serve as the faculty academic advisor for students focusing in Healthcare. Experience with graduate education and executive education in healthcare will be desirable. This position is not tenure-track and carries no significant research expectations; however, research and grant-seeking experience in the business of healthcare are a plus.
