Job Summary:

The Assistant Director, Center for Supply Chain Innovation is responsible for program planning, marketing, and execution. This position also supports CSCI strategic planning, outreach, partner engagement and on-going support.

Duties & Essential Job Functions:

1. Participates in contact development, recruiting, and engagement for advisory board participation, sponsorships, and other partner interactions. Manages and maintains relationships with advisory board members and identifies opportunities for revenue growth.
2. Collaborates with CSCI business partners and students to maintain a high functioning and engaged advisory board and to develop programs, opportunities for collaboration, and project support.
3. Plans, develops, and supervises implementation of major events including summer B-tech camp, annual graduate supply chain case competition, advisory board meetings, networking events, and conferences.
4. Maintains cross-organizational alignment with other key Neeley Centers to leverage resources and to share best practices.
5. Develops and oversees marketing and communications efforts for the CSCI, including design of internet and social media content and communication schedules.
6. Supports strategic planning, including market, competitive, and opportunity analyses, conducting research as necessary.
7. Manages and/or supervises CSCI office operations, procurement, vendor relations, contracts, and invoicing.
8. Manages administrative and student office staff.
9. Prepares CSCI surveys and reports.
10. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• 3 plus years’ experience in marketing or business development.

Preferred Education & Experience:

• Experience in supply chain management or related functions.
• Experience in planning and program management.

• Knowledge of the supply chain management field, related trends, and strategic business issues.
• Knowledge of project management techniques.

• Skill in communication and interpersonal techniques.
• Skill in some or all components of Microsoft office products.
• Ability to apply initiative and creativity to problem solving.
• Ability to work independently as well as on a team.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Physical Requirements (With or Without Accommodations):

• Visual acuity to read information from computer screens, forms and other printed materials and information.
• Able to speak (enunciate) clearly in conversation and general communication.
• Hearing ability for verbal communication/conversation/responses via telephone, telephone systems, and face-to-face interactions.
• Manual dexterity for typing, writing, standing and reaching, flexibility, body movement for bending, crouching, walking, kneeling and prolonged sitting.
• Lifting and moving objects and equipment up to 10 lbs.

Work Environment:

• Work is indoors and sedentary and is subject to schedule changes and/or variable work hours.
• This role is an on campus, in-person position.
• There are no harmful environmental conditions present for this job.
• The noise level in this work environment is usually moderate.
