The Institutional Research Survey Coordinator supports core institutional research operations. The position collects, analyzes, and reports institutional data to support TCU’s mission, strategic initiatives, and day-to-day operations.
1. Ensures the successful administration of the Student Perception of Teaching (SPOT) by coordinating the preparation of SPOTs for each course requiring a SPOT; ensuring the on time delivery of SPOTs; compiling and preparing SPOT summary reports; compiling and preparing SPOT Tableau reports; serving as a liaison with the course evaluation software vendor; communicating effectively with TCU stakeholders (deans, chairs, faculty, etc.) regarding the administration of SPOT and the availability of reports.
2. Collects, prepares, and reports institutional data to government agencies, accrediting bodies, ranking organizations, and higher education publications.
3. Adheres to the IR reporting calendar to ensure timely data submissions and project completion.
4. Coordinates with faculty, staff, and administrators to gather and report data.
5. Maintains project folders/log and back-up materials on all surveys/ad-hoc requests/reporting.
6. Responds to time critical ad-hoc requests for data and information, both internally and externally.
7. Plans, develops, and implements timely and relevant surveys for the TCU community by collecting and analyzing data on areas of strategic interest for the University; providing timely reports of data findings to University administrators and other University decision-making groups.
8. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal and professional networks.
9. Performs other related duties as assigned.
