The Service Assistant is responsible for maintaining campus buildings by providing cleaning services.
1. Maintains buildings by dusting and polishing furniture, equipment, mirrors and fixtures; cleaning windows, counters, walls and woodwork; sweeping, scrubbing and finishing floors; cleaning blinds, furniture and carpeting; supplying and cleaning rest rooms, showers, and kitchens; changing linens, providing laundry services; setting up and arranging furniture.
2. Remove trash by emptying and maintaining trash containers; transporting materials to disposal area; recycling materials.
3. Maintains safe working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
4. Monitors assets by inventorying supplies and equipment; following manufacturer’s recommendation for equipment maintenance; identifying and reporting problems with building, equipment, or supplies to supervisor; securing keys and property.
5. Support operations by training new employees as needed; using organization vehicles to transport staff to work sites; providing adequate coverage.
6. Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Some formal education.

• This role is an on-campus, in-person position.
• There are no harmful environmental conditions present for this job.
• The noise level in this work environment is usually moderate.
