The Supervisor Electronic Access is responsible for maintaining university security alarms and electronic doors by planning, scheduling and performing installation and maintenance functions, trains and supervises staff.
1. Accomplishes staff job results by supervising, counseling and disciplining employees; planning monitoring and appraising job results.
2. Keeps buildings secure and ready for use by installing, repairing and replacing low voltage electronic card access operated equipment and security alarm systems; upgrading existing devices.
3. Maintains security of building and equipment by using meters and computers to troubleshoot and test alarm systems; installing, repairing and replacing alarms associated with access equipment.
4. Determines service and equipment requirements by evaluating job and work orders for maintenance and repair; conducting inspections; establishing a recurring maintenance program for each system.
5. Maintains supplies and inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
6. Complies with federal, state and local building codes by adhering to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
7. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
8. Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
9. Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needs.
10. Performs other related duties as assigned.
