Job Summary:

The Assistant Director Creative Content/NIL Resources responsibilities and opportunities include, but are not limited to: assisting TCU student-athletes in creating content as part of their NIL brand deals, helping TCU student-athletes with brand development with the use of TCU marks, providing photography and graphic design support to TCU Athletics’ social media accounts, communications, marketing and the video boards. This position will help maintain the TCU Athletics brand.

 

Duties & Essential Job Functions:

1. Produces content for TCU student-athletes as part of NIL brand deals
2. Assists TCU student-athletes on brand development with the use of TCU marks
3. Provides photography help to student-athletes and the athletic department; photographing NIL brand content for student-athletes as well as TCU events, games and practices
4. Designs, develops and delivers graphics to TCU student-athletes as well as TCU Athletics’ social media accounts and the marketing department
5. Maintains the TCU brand in all content
6. Collaborates with the marketing, communications and creative staff, providing clear communication on content direction
7. Assists with the development and management of student interns; provides instruction and direction to students to further promote the athletic department’s brand.
8. Performs other duties as assigned

 

Required Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Graphic Design, Photography, Media or related field 1 year of photography experience and 1 year of graphic design experience, experience can run concurrently
OR
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent and 5 years of photography experience and 5 years of graphic design experience, experience can run concurrently

 

Preferred Education & Experience:

• One year of experience in a college athletics or professional sports environment

 

Required Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training:

• Valid Texas Driver’s License.
• Must be insurable under the University motor vehicle requirements.

 

Preferred Licensure, Certification, and/or Specialized Training:

• None

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Knowledge of all social media channels.
• Knowledge of camera and lighting schematics to shoot and edit both field and studio assignments at a high level.
• Knowledge of graphics software (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects).
• Skill in both spoken and written communication.
• Ability to learn new technologies and stay abreast of best practices
• Ability to work with minimal supervision under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work non-traditional hours.

Physical Requirements (With or Without Accommodations):

• Visual acuity to read information from computer screens, forms and other printed materials and information.
• Able to speak (enunciate) clearly in conversation and general communication.
• Hearing ability for verbal communication/conversation/responses via telephone, telephone systems, and face-to-face interactions.
• This is an in-person, on campus position.
• Manual dexterity for typing, writing, standing and reaching, flexibility, body movement for bending, crouching, walking, kneeling and prolonged sitting.
• Lifting and moving objects and equipment up to 10 lbs.

 

Work Environment:

• The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
• This role is an on campus, in-person position, but includes some travel.
• Requires attendance at home and away games, events, contests and special events
• There are no harmful environmental conditions present for this job.
• The noise level in this work environment is usually moderate to extreme.
