Position Details:

This full-time faculty position is on-campus and in-person. The Department of Finance at Texas Christian University invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Finance (tenure-track) in the Neeley School of Business for Fall 2027 or until filled. Faculty will be expected to produce high-quality research, participate in university service, and deliver high-quality instruction in courses across the School's undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs. Applications are welcome from both Ph.D. candidates and current Assistant Professors at other institutions. Current Assistant Professors should demonstrate a strong record of high quality research and teaching and the potential for continued excellence in both areas.

The position requires a completed Ph.D. in Finance or a related discipline. The applicant for this position should be capable of effectively teaching finance courses at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. Evidence of teaching effectiveness and strong research capabilities are required. Candidates must be able to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.

Department Details:

The Department of Finance has 28 full-time faculty members. Finance faculty regularly publish in leading academic journals, including the Journal of Finance, Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Financial Economics, American Economic Review, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, and Management Science. The LKCM Center for Financial Studies enhances the quality, prestige, and national visibility of finance programs at the Neeley School of Business by providing research support for faculty, databases, industry partnerships, and assisting students searching for excellent employment opportunities in finance. Since 1973 the Neeley School has offered the Educational Investment Fund (EIF), a large endowment run entirely by students, offering them valuable investment experience working with fellow students to manage a portfolio of stocks and bonds.

The nationally ranked TCU Neeley School of Business has more than 3,500 students enrolled across undergraduate and graduate programs, with approximately one third of TCU students in its programs as majors, minors or advanced degree seekers.
