The Director of Undergraduate Admission is responsible for supporting the freshman admission processes by assisting in planning and executing policy and programming, recommending admission actions, and supervising Associate Directors of Admission.
1. Directs the recruitment of the undergraduate entering classes by supervising staff responsible for representing TCU at recruiting events both on- and off-campus; supporting events at TCU; visiting high schools to conduct recruiting activities; conducting informational and evaluative interviews; establishing rapport with candidates; recommending admissions actions.
2. Assists with the recruitment of prospective undergrad students through the student search process; serves as team lead in relationship with third-party vendors who license names on behalf of TCU.
3. Identifies recruiting strategies by monitoring trends at peer and aspirant institutions for recruiting opportunities; develops policies related to trends and best practices in admission.
4. Stays abreast of and collaborates with key partners across campus (e.g. financial aid, housing, registrar, student affairs, etc.)
5. Collects, compiles, and analyzes occupational, scholarship, departmental, economic, and market data for dissemination to provide strategic recommendations used to target potential students more effectively. Prepares reports in concert with the Assistant Provost for Enrollment Systems and Analytics.
6. Cultivates and establishes partnerships with key professional associations, individuals in higher and secondary education institutions and TCU constituents across campus.
7. Recruits, selects, counsels and disciplines staff to accomplish department goals.
8. Trains staff by developing and implementing programs.
9. Represents the Office of Admission in public and in senior leadership meetings when Dean of Admission is unavailable.
10. Performs other related duties as assigned.

• 7 years’ experience in admissions or in student programs in a higher education environment or a related field, including supervisory experience.
