Job Summary:

The Fueling Station Manager co-manages TCU Athletics’ primary and satellite fueling stations. This one-year, part-time position is ideal for individuals with an interest in sports nutrition, food service management or pursuing Registered Dietitian credentials.

Duties & Essential Job Functions:

1. Provides daily athlete-facing customer service.
2. Manages inventory; places vendor orders and reconciles deliveries.
3. Monitors and stocks all fueling stations according to established par levels.
4. Oversees the Sports Nutrition Intern Program including recruiting, orientation, and developing weekly schedules to ensure season-based coverage.
5. Maintains food safety standards and cleanliness of the primary fueling station and eleven satellite fueling stations in accordance with applicable food safety regulations.
6. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field

Preferred Education & Experience:

• Prior nutrition-related or collegiate/professional athletics experience.
• Experience with purchasing platforms such as US Foods and VISTAR.
• Interest in pursuing a career as a Registered Dietitian or sports nutrition career

Required Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training:

• City of Fort Worth Food Handler’s Certification within 30 days of hire
• Valid Texas Driver’s License
• Must be insurable under the University Motor Vehicle Requirements.

Preferred Licensure, Certification, and/or Specialized Training:

• Working knowledge of receiving, purchasing, inventory control and payment processing.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage and prioritize competing demands.
• Skill in Microsoft Office and working knowledge of Apple iPad technology.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions with strong attention to detail
• Ability to collaborate effectively with Co-Manager while also working independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed and maintain a positive team environment
• Ability to maintain staff confidence by adhering to HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) by keeping all information seen and heard confidential.
• Ability to promote the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics program, to include adhering to all departmental policies and procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the University, the Big 12 Conference and the NCAA.

Physical Requirements (With or Without Accommodations):

• Visual acuity to read information from computer screens, forms and other printed materials and information.
• Able to speak (enunciate) clearly in conversation and general communication.
• Hearing ability for verbal communication/conversation/responses via telephone, telephone systems, and face-to-face interactions.
• Manual dexterity for typing, writing, standing and reaching, flexibility, body movement for bending, crouching, walking, kneeling and prolonged sitting.
• Lifting and moving objects and equipment up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment:

• One-year, part-time position working 29 hours per week maximum.
• Able to work 6:00 am-12:00 pm or 11:00 am-5:00 pm Monday through Friday.
• Work is indoors and outdoors and is subject to schedule changes and/or variable work hours.
• There are no harmful environmental conditions present for this job.
• The noise level in this work environment is high.
