Job Summary:

The Institutional Research Survey Coordinator supports core institutional research operations. The position collects, analyzes, and reports institutional data to support TCU’s mission, strategic initiatives, and day-to-day operations.

 

Duties & Essential Job Functions:

1. Extracts, verifies, analyzes, and summarizes data for regularly produced internal and external reports and publications.
2. Collects, prepares, and reports institutional data to government agencies, accrediting bodies, ranking organizations, and higher education publications.
3. Adheres to the IR reporting calendar to ensure timely data submissions and project completion.
4. Coordinates with faculty, staff, and administrators to gather and report data.
5. Maintains project folders/log and back-up materials on all surveys/ad-hoc requests/reporting.
6. Responds to time critical ad-hoc requests for data and information, both internally and externally.
7. Serves as backup support for administration of Student Perception of Teaching (SPOT) evaluations.
8. Plans, develops, and implements timely and relevant surveys for the TCU community by collecting and analyzing data on areas of strategic interest for the University; providing timely reports of data findings to University administrators and other University decision-making groups.
9. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal and professional networks.
10. Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

Required Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in related discipline.

 

Preferred Education & Experience:

• Experience in higher education setting.
• Knowledge of college course evaluation administration.

• Ability to employ critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to use keen attention to detail in analysis and validation and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with accuracy/consistency and adhere to strict deadlines.
• Knowledge of Tableau and Microsoft Office Suite, and willingness to learn new technologies and skills.
• Knowledge of and ability to work in a professional office environment that collaborates with various internal and external parties and stakeholders.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to exercise high level of self-motivation and direction.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Ability to handle confidential data in an ethical and professional manner.

Physical Requirements (With or Without Accommodations):

• Visual acuity to read information from computer screens, forms and other printed materials and information.
• Able to speak (enunciate) clearly in conversation and general communication.
• Hearing ability for verbal communication/conversation/responses via telephone, telephone systems, and face-to-face interactions.
• Manual dexterity for typing, writing, standing and reaching, flexibility, body movement for bending, crouching, walking, kneeling and prolonged sitting.
• Lifting and moving objects and equipment up to 10 lbs.

 

Work Environment:

• Work is indoors and sedentary and is subject to schedule changes and/or variable work hours.
• There are no harmful environmental conditions present for this job.
• The noise level in this work environment is usually moderate.
• This is an in-person, on-campus position.
