Position Details:

This full-time faculty position is on-campus and in-person.

Texas Christian University is hiring for the position of Instructor in Finance in the Neeley School of Business. The successful candidate will begin employment in August 2025. The primary responsibilities for this position include teaching a range of finance courses at the undergraduate level. Applicants must have knowledge of financial decision-making by businesses, including evaluating financial statements, capital budgeting, cash flow management, and debt and equity valuation. In the fields of investment and portfolio management, the applicant should be knowledgeable in security analysis, modern portfolio theory, and risk-return concepts.
Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications. Candidates for the position should possess (or expect completion by August 2025) an earned master’s degree or doctorate degree. Preference will be given to candidates who provide evidence of excellence in teaching at the college level and who have professional experience in a business-related field.

Department Details:

The finance department offers undergraduate majors in finance as well as an MBA concentration in this field. The department provides courses in real estate, including a finance major with a real estate concentration.
The LKCM Center for Financial Studies enhances the quality, prestige, and national visibility of finance programs at the Neeley School of Business by providing research support for faculty, databases, industry partnerships, and assisting students searching for excellent employment opportunities in finance.
The Neeley School's BBA in Finance has been recognized by the CFA Institute University Affiliation Program. This recognition is granted to institutions that incorporate a significant portion of the CFA Candidate Body of Knowledge into their curriculum.
Since 1973 the Neeley School has offered the Educational Investment Fund (EIF), a large endowment run entirely by students, offering them valuable investment experience working with fellow students to manage a portfolio of stocks and bonds.
The Transactions and Investment Professionals (TIP) program offers students the chance to network with alumni who hold positions in investment banking, hedge funds, private equity, and equity research.
