The Marketing Coordinator TCU Press is responsible for coordinating marketing and promotion of TCU Press publications by researching potential markets; assisting with business plan development; implementing advertising and public relations strategies; conducting presentations; developing vendor relations; facilitating promotional initiatives online and through social media.
1. Contribute to strategic plans for promoting and marketing TCU Press publications by gathering information and making business plan recommendations; conducting local, regional, and national market research; identifying trends; developing business and consumer relations.
2. Coordinate and implement actual and virtual marketing/advertising campaigns for TCU Press publications and initiatives by developing key marketing messages, stimulating interest through presentations; participating in TCU Press public functions; maintaining professional contact with corporate and/or independent booksellers; writing press releases; creating marketing and promotional materials, such as postcards, flyers, and advertisements; planning and overseeing author events; interacting with the public in a variety of capacities to represent TCU Press and promote its publications.
3. Enhance TCU Press's public and online virtual image and institutional profile by developing and strengthening ongoing relationships with Bookish Frogs and the TCU Press Board of Editors; building and developing a community advisory board; developing and implementing programs, events, and activities that build awareness of TCU Press and its publications.
4. Contribute to the overall health and harmony of TCU Press by participating and cooperating as a team member and by attending staff meetings; offering input and assistance in all areas of TCU Press functions when necessary.
