The Postdoctoral Fellow is responsible for contributing scholarly work to the Chemistry department and TCU through research and service. The goal of the effort is to understand how the molecular properties of monomers translates into macroscopic behavior of polymers. Molecules showing a unique hinging motion have been described. Derivatives of these monomers will be synthesized on scales to explore polymerization. A variety of polymers will be explored.
1. Monitors organic synthesis of triazine macrocycles at scales suitable for polymerization
2. Reviews generation of polymeric materials and evaluation of their properties on an established timeline
3. Participates in the active dissemination of findings
4. Supports graduate and undergraduate colleagues
5. Maintains a safe and inclusive work environment.
6. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Texas Christian University is committed to assisting all members of the campus community in providing for their own safety and security. TCU’s Annual Security Report and Fire Safety Report is published in compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy & Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act) and the Higher Education Opportunity Act. This report includes statistics for the previous three calendar years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus, in certain off-campus buildings owned or controlled by the University, and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus. The statements of policy contained within this report address institutional policies, procedures, and programs concerning campus security, alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, emergency notifications and timely warning of crimes, sexual and interpersonal violence, and personal safety at TCU. Additionally, this report outlines fire safety systems, policies and procedures for on-campus housing facilities, as well as residence hall fire statistics.
The Annual Security Report and Fire Safety Report can be found on the TCU Police Department website at https://police.tcu.edu/annual-security-report, or a paper copy of the report may be obtained by contacting the TCU Police Department at 817-257-7930, or via email at police@tcu.edu.
