Job Summary:

The Research Support Assistant will provide project support by facilitating project goals and objectives for Knight Research (Institute of Behavioral Research).

Duties & Essential Job Functions:

1. Supports research staff with data collection efforts for grant projects funded through various funding sources.
2. Collaborate with participating facilities and staff in order to communicate with individuals eligible for study participation. Research support staff will facilitate informed consent meetings and complete baseline assessments with participants.
3. Work with Project Coordinator to ensure all collected data is securely and promptly delivered to the Institute of Behavioral Research (IBR).
4. Attend intervention groups at the participating facility to ensure proper administration, completion, collection, and return of all pre/post assessments and fidelity forms, and any relevant study documentation to IBR.
5. Possible communication with participants to complete follow-up assessments, as needed.
6. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1 plus year of experience with customers, patients, or clients.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Office.
• Ability to maintain strong organizational systems to manage multiple tasks and data requirements with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate clearly and empathetically, respond appropriately to sensitive situations to encourage participant engagement and trust.
• Ability to convey information clearly, accurately, and professionally to diverse audiences. Capacity to listen actively and adapt communication style to the needs of individuals.

Physical Requirements (With or Without Accommodations):

• Visual acuity to read information from computer screens, forms and other printed materials and information.
• Able to speak (enunciate) clearly in conversation and general communication.
• Hearing ability for verbal communication/conversation/responses via telephone, telephone systems, and face-to-face interactions.
• Manual dexterity for typing, writing, standing and reaching, flexibility, body movement for bending, crouching, walking, kneeling, lifting/moving items up to 10 lbs. and times of prolonged sitting.

• Work is subject to schedule changes and/or variable work hours.
• This role is an on campus, in-person position.
• There are no harmful environmental conditions present for this job.
• The noise level in this work environment is usually moderate.
