The Web Developer is responsible for supporting University Advancement web sites, online event registration pages, and online giving forms by designing, building, maintaining and coordinating all aspects of online content and programs. This role also supports University Advancement email marketing and communication efforts through the creation of templates and tools.
1. Produces designs and copy layouts for online content, including University Advancement websites, event registration pages, and giving pages
2. Designs and documents processes to implement web-based projects, including communicating with vendors, making recommendations for improvements, and identifying and resolving technical issues.
3. Provides technical implementation and administration of University Advancement websites, including sites built with Blackbaud Internet Solutions, WordPress or Modern Campus CMS; continually works to offer a dynamic experience using current technologies.
4. Designs and implements email marketing and communication efforts to support University Advancement departments while maintaining University visual and brand standards; Supports TCU constituent electronic communications by creating responsive email templates, verifying email content displays accurately across email clients used by TCU constituents, ensuring appropriate constituent group is assigned to receive emails, and evaluating email effectiveness through click-through analysis.
5. Evaluates event/program participation by employing available tools, such as Google Analytics, to track and analyze web traffic to identify trends; coordinates with colleagues to establish web site needs and requirements and suggest recommendations for improvements.
6. Provides technical and content support for new and existing websites.
7. Assists other developers with coding and troubleshooting.
8. Helps monitor and remediate quality control, page performance, and web accessibility issues
9. Consults and assists end users in the use of web content tools.
10. Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Graphic Design, E-Business (Management system) or related field of study or equivalent experience.

• Knowledge of web-based programming languages, tools and technologies used by the department such as FTP, HTML, ASP, JavaScript, or others.
• Knowledge of basic operations within Adobe products such as PDF, Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
• Knowledge of and ability to work with content management systems.
• Knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts.
• Knowledge of and ability to work with Google Analytics.
• Knowledge of survey tools such as Qualtrics.

• Skill in some or all components of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Windows navigation skills to perform job.
