The Access Systems Specialist is responsible for managing campus operations within the CSAccess software including creating card reader locations, troubleshooting various issues, and understanding the functionality of the software in the field. The role will also provide programming support for Micros software and assist with ID Center operations as needed.
1. Manages and troubleshoots access related issues or updates in coordination with Information Technology to ensure optimal system performance.
2. Performs and monitors results of various functions within multiple Student Affairs systems to support access and functionality across campus, including but not limited to, creating card reader locations in CSAccess software, creating and testing meal plans, and supporting system integration with Starrez.
3. Learns and stays up to date on functions within the CBORD access system and represents the Manager for system related items if needed.
4. Oversees building access changes. Reviews procedures and protocols in relation to access changes to ensure effective workflow of operations and communication.
5. Collaborates with Facilities staff on hardware installations to identify projects and completion schedules, create door access locations, program and test door access hardware prior to installation; track and document actions taken or installation activities; and troubleshoot issues.
6. Assists with forecasting cyclical schedules around semester end, beginning and holiday breaks.
7. Serves as secondary support for Micros software system for TCU Dining and Athletics concession/premium spaces as needed.
8. Participates in the on-call rotation for after hour emergency response for access related issues.
9. Participates as needed on the TCU Emergency Response team.
10. Maintains current and accurate knowledge of Housing, Human Resources, and the Registrar’s office policies and procedures that are applied by the ID Center functions to provide operational structure and consistency that aligns with practices established for campus safety and security.
11. As needed, assists in ID Center day-to-day operations including applying new card access requests and/or replacement of lost cards, troubleshooting meal card issues, identifying charges as post office, bookstore, Rec center, copying, and athletic concessions, as well as, access on individual ID card and building hours-of-operation scheduling, and other functions of the ID Center.
12. Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Bachelor degree, or equivalent in experience
• 1 year of troubleshooting and providing software support
• Bachelor degree in a software related, technical field.
• Experience working with CSGold/CSAccess or Transact software, or equivalent
