The Assistant Director Institutional Research supports core institutional research operations through collection, analysis, and reporting of institutional data to support TCU’s mission, strategic initiatives, and day-to-day operations.
1. Manages reporting tasks for the office by preparing institutional data for internal and external reports. Serves as the principal contact for all external surveys.
2. Maintains a yearly calendar of University reporting due dates to ensure timely data submissions and project completion.
3. Coordinates with other campus offices for necessary information, verifying accuracy of all data reported.
4. Maintains project folders/log and back-up materials on all surveys/ad-hoc requests/reporting.
5. Supervises the administration of the Student Perception of Teaching (SPOT) faculty evaluations.
6. Assists the Associate Director with the completion of IR publications including the annual Fact Book.
7. Interviews, selects finalist candidates, and supervises IR Survey Coordinator and student workers.
8. Responds to time critical ad-hoc requests for data and information, both internally and externally.
9. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal and professional networks.
10. Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Master’s degree in social sciences, statistics, or related discipline.
• 2 years’ experience with quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis including developing, implementing and managing research projects
OR
• Bachelor’s degree in related discipline.
• 4 years’ experience with quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis including developing, implementing and managing projects.
• Supervisory experience.
• Master’s degree in related discipline

• Knowledge of higher education reporting requirements, especially IPEDS and other federal, state, and compliance related reports.
