The Director of Graduate Experiential Learning manages experiential learning initiatives for Neeley graduate students, to include Neeley & Associates. The person in this role recruits people and companies, works in close partnership with faculty, and manages processes supporting successful experiential learning opportunities for graduate students.
1. Manages and grows consulting opportunities for MBA/MS students by recruiting meaningful company sponsored projects for Neeley and Associates, managing the processes by which projects are selected. Manages and coaches student teams as they execute projects and results are presented; supervises and trains the student team leaders and coaches (i.e., Neeley and Associates Principals); manages client relationships before, during, and after consulting engagements; identifies and manages ad hoc consulting opportunities.
2. In partnership with a faculty member, teaches MANA 70773, Consulting Applications – Neeley and Associates, adhering to all university policies and guidelines.
3. Manages and supervise student case or appropriate type competitions by working with student organizations to initiate world-class student competitions; obtains and maintains corporate sponsorship(s) of Neeley competitions; supervises events associated with select Neeley competitions; prepares and monitors budgets for Neeley events; creates opportunities for increased status/awareness of Neeley participation with the general public and with top quality MBA programs; identifies appropriate external competitions held at other universities or businesses; and works with student organizations to expand participation in external competitions.
4. Facilitates graduate programs related speaker events e.g., C-Level Confidential, and others to be developed by identifying outstanding speakers; ensures appropriate level of student participation; supervises speaker services and experience; works with other areas of Neeley to ensure a high-quality experience; gains and maintains appropriate outside sponsorship of speaker events; and when appropriate develops outside status/awareness of speaker events.
5. Coordinates with Neeley faculty and other Graduate Programs staff to develop and implement new out-of-classroom program enhancements and establish and maintain relationships with employer partners, prospective donors, and other external stakeholders.
6. Develops, leads, and manages Neeley Experiential Learning Advisory Board engagement efforts.
7. Manages program budget to align with departmental profit objectives each fiscal year.
8. Perform other related duties as assigned.
• MBA or equivalent graduate degree.
• 4 plus years of experience in consulting or a related field in which there has been significant interaction with C-Level corporate executives.
• 10 plus years’ experience in consulting or a related field in which there has been significant interaction with the C-level corporate executives.
