Job Summary:

The Graphic Designer develops, produces, and maintains high-quality visual communications that support the marketing goals of the TCU Neeley School of Business. The role blends expertise in traditional graphic design with capabilities in digital and interactive design, ensuring cohesive, visually compelling deliverables across all channels.

Primary responsibilities include creative conceptualizing, design production, and campaign execution across print and digital formats—including advertisements, brochures, collateral, signage, email campaigns, interactive assets, web environments (e.g., CMS page layouts) and event software interfaces. The position works under the direction of the Marketing Director, collaborating across teams to produce creative work that aligns with TCU and Neeley brand standards and meets strategic marketing objectives.

Duties & Essential Job Functions:

1. Under the direction of the Neeley Marketing Director, designs and produces a wide variety of marketing materials for print, digital, and interactive platforms, including brochures, viewbooks, advertisements, email campaigns, signage, and event collateral.
2. Translates strategic objectives into visually compelling, brand-consistent creative concepts, working from provided concepts and self-generated ideas.
3. Builds, formats, and deploys marketing emails using approved templates and strategies; maintains and updates templates to support campaigns while ensuring accessibility, responsiveness, and brand consistency.
4. Supports digital design needs, including UI/UX for web pages, email templates, and interactive assets; assist with building and updating pages in the content management system (CMS) using approved content, templates and widgets.
5. Collaborates with leaders across Neeley and, where effective, across campus to understand project goals, audiences, and priorities, delivering creative solutions under the direction of the Director, Marketing that meet needs while adhering to TCU and Neeley brand standards.
6. Selects, edits, and prepares photography, illustrations, and other visual assets; art directs photo/video shoots as needed.
7. Prepares and delivers print- and digital-ready files; manages proofs, press checks, and vendor deliverables; and coordinates with production partners (photographers, videographers, printers, etc.) to ensure accurate, high-quality, and timely output.
8. Creates design assets for video, motion graphics, and other multimedia projects as needed.
9. Maintains organized design files, templates, and asset libraries for efficient reuse and scalability.
10. Participates in creative kickoffs, brainstorming sessions, and project reviews, contributing to a collaborative, solutions-focused environment.
11. Supports high-priority campaigns, events, and cross-functional projects.
12. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, art, visual communications, strategic communications, or a related field.
• Two or more years of professional design experience in marketing, advertising, or a similar fast-paced environment
• Online portfolio with relevant examples of digital, animation, and print branding work

Preferred Education & Experience:

• Experience designing within higher education, corporate marketing, or agency environments.
• Experience with event management platforms, including designing splash pages, registration pages, and event communications.
• Experience with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut) and motion graphics.
• Experience with project management software (e.g., Workamajig, Monday, Trello).

• None

Preferred Licensure, Certification, and/or Specialized Training:

• Knowledge of SEO best practices and content optimization techniques.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to proficiently utilize and design in: template software (e.g., Canva), HTML/CSS for email and web formatting, and email marketing platforms (e.g., Blackbaud, Salesforce Marketing Cloud).
• Ability to proficiently design in content management systems (e.g., Kentico, Modern Campus, WordPress) using templates and widgets.
• Skill with design software like Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
• Knowledge of typography, layout, composition, color theory, and branding principles.
• Knowledge of digital design, UI/UX principles, responsive design, and accessibility best practices.
• Knowledge of print production processes and preparing press-ready files.
• Knowledge of web design principles, responsive design, and accessibility standards.
• Skill using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint).
• Skill in creative problem-solving, adaptability to changing priorities, and meeting deadlines while maintaining quality.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to produce design files optimized for both print and digital distribution.
• Ability to translate marketing goals into effective visual concepts.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Physical Requirements (With or Without Accommodations):

• Visual acuity to read information from computer screens, forms and other printed materials and information.
• Able to speak (enunciate) clearly in conversation and general communication.
• Hearing ability for verbal communication/conversation/responses via telephone, telephone systems, and face-to-face interactions.
• Manual dexterity for typing, writing, standing and reaching, flexibility, body movement for bending, crouching, walking, kneeling and prolonged sitting.
• Lifting and moving objects and equipment up to 10 lbs.

Work Environment:

• Work is indoors and sedentary and is subject to schedule changes and/or variable work hours.
• This role is an on campus, in-person position.
• There are no harmful environmental conditions present for this job.
• The noise level in this work environment is usually moderate.
