Job Summary:

The UNLF Coordinator is responsible for coordinating academic year 25-26 UNLF classes. The coordinator will ensure teaching lines are filled and provide continued support for UNLF instructors.

 

Duties & Essential Job Functions:

1. Recruits, trains, and supports faculty, staff, and peer guides who teach the Introduction to University Life (UNLF) course.
2. Collaborates with First Year Experience (FYE) to ensure UNLF curriculum stays aligned with their programming.
3. Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

Required Education & Experience:

• Master’s degree
• Experience teaching the UNLF course

• None

• None

• None

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Knowledge and experience in teaching and learning strategies, and the assessment of outcomes.
• Skill in instruction, facilitation, and training techniques.
• Skill in strong organization with attention to detail.
• Skill in strong written and oral communication.
• Ability to coordinate and supervise faculty, staff, and students for programming and UNLF.

Physical Requirements (With or Without Accommodations):

• Visual acuity to read information from computer screens, forms and other printed materials and information.
• Able to speak (enunciate) clearly in conversation and general communication.
• Hearing ability for verbal communication/conversation/responses via telephone, telephone systems, and face-to-face interactions.
• Manual dexterity for typing, writing, standing and reaching, flexibility, body movement for bending, crouching, walking, kneeling and prolonged sitting.
• Lifting and moving objects and equipment up to 10 lbs.

 

Work Environment:

• Work is indoors and sedentary and is subject to schedule changes and/or variable work hours.
• This role is an on campus, in-person position.
• There are no harmful environmental conditions present for this job.
• The noise level in this work environment is usually moderate.
