The Longitudinal Integrated Clerkship (LIC) Credentialing Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing all student credentialing activities for clinical experiences across Phases 1, 2, and 3 of the curriculum for Burnett School of Medicine. In collaboration with the LIC Assistant Director, LIC leadership, individual clerkship directors and the Phase 3 Curriculum Team, the coordinator is responsible for the administration, coordination, management, and execution of all aspects of credentialing students and ensures compliance with requirements for clerkship and elective placements affiliated clinical sites. In addition, the coordinator will participate in the successful implementation and maintenance of continuous improvement and evaluation of the LIC and Phase 3. The coordinator will be a liaison between the School of Medicine and clinical partners across Phases 1, 2, and 3 and will exemplify the vision and values of TCU and act in accordance with its policies and procedures.
1. Contributes to and executes LIC operational goals and priorities with LIC Team to ensure that Phase 1, Phase 2 program objectives and accreditation requirements are met.
2. Works and collaborates with Phase 3 team to ensure student credentialing for electives and advanced inpatient programs are met.
3. Develops and maintains strong working relationships with a diverse network of affiliated clinical sites, acting as a liaison to ensure smooth student credentialing and compliance.
4. Analyzes existing standard operating procedures (SOPs) in order to continuously evaluate and improve student credentialing workflows to identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and student experience.
5. Serve as the point of contact to student, faculty, and administration for all student credentialing-related matters, including student access, documentation, onboarding timelines, site-specific policies and procedural updates.
6. Assign, track, and manage student credentialing tasks using multiple platforms, including the development and distribution of onboarding modules.
7. Responsible for preparing, distributing, and communicating student credentialing requirements to clinical partners and faculty.
8. Coordinate quarterly Credentialing Partner Meetings and prepare agendas and information to update stakeholders, discuss process improvements, and stay current onsite policies and expectations.
9. Secures and coordinates instructional space for meetings and LIC events as necessary.
10. Works with the LIC director, assistant director, clerkship directors, course directors, and other stakeholders to coordinate inter-disciplinary educational sessions as assigned (e.g., LeAPs, simulation, communications, etc.).
11. Attends and supports LIC team and interdepartmental meetings with responsibility for monitoring key discussion points and ensuring follow-through on action items and relevant outcomes.
12. Manage the addition of new clinical sites within the school's internal platforms, ensuring accurate entry of site information.
13. Interprets and escalates site problems as necessary, providing clear communication and potential solutions to facilitate timely resolution.
14. Performs other related duties as assigned, contributing to the ongoing development and success of the LIC program.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Three plus years of relevant healthcare or education experience, or an acceptable equivalent.
