Job Summary:

The Budget Coordinator – TCU Press, Part Time is responsible for processing accounts payable items, invoices, royalties, reimbursements, copyright fees, deposits, purchasing card transactions, contract budget approvals, wire transfers, student workers payroll, budget reconciliations and journal entry corrections, and financial record archiving. This position will also identify opportunities for budget efficiency and savings.

Duties & Essential Job Functions:

1. Facilitates budget coding invoices, reimbursements, deposits, annual royalty payments, and manages royalty database.
2. Facilitates payment of Library of Congress copyright fees and CIP registration.
3. Coordinates revenue and expense transactions with Longleaf Services.
4. Helps to manage inventory records in Longleaf’s Iptor/Qlik platform.
5. Reconciles online payments, deposits, financial reports and creates journal entry corrections.
6. Verifies budget availability and vendor suitability for contracts.
7. Supervises student intern hours and helps supervise job performance. Handles paperwork to manage student interns employment records.
8. Provides financial reporting as requested by the TCU Press Director.
9. Archives and maintains financial records.
10. Analyzes budget performance and advises TCU Press director on budget management.
11. Creates and maintain TCU Press copy and mail codes.
12. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years’ experience in accounting/bookkeeping.

Preferred Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• 5 years’ experience in accounting/bookkeeping and/or related fields

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Knowledge of accounting processes.
• Knowledge of general budget terminology and methodology.
• Skill in analyzing, evaluating and reporting quantitative data.
• Skill in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PeopleSoft.
• Ability to interpret data and make recommendations for improvements.
• Ability to communication both orally and in writing.
• Ability to work independently as well as on team based projects.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines.

• Visual acuity to read information from computer screens, forms and other printed materials and information.
• Able to speak (enunciate) clearly in conversation and general communication.
• Hearing ability for verbal communication/conversation/responses via telephone, telephone systems, and face-to-face interactions.
• Manual dexterity for typing, writing, standing and reaching, flexibility, body movement for bending, crouching, walking, kneeling and prolonged sitting.
• Lifting and moving objects and equipment up to 10 lbs.

• Work is indoors and sedentary and is subject to schedule changes and/or variable work hours.
• There are no harmful environmental conditions present for this job.
• The noise level in this work environment is usually moderate.
• This role is an on campus, in-person position.
