Job Summary:

The Website and Social Media Coordinator is responsible for advancing the PianoTexas International Festival & Academy programs visibility with internal and external audiences by publicizing and marketing PianoTexas stories and events. This job involves planning, designing, and implementing all aspects of PianoTexas’s web and social media presence in coordination with the Executive Director.

Duties & Essential Job Functions:

1. Responsible for posting and updating content on the PianoTexas website and other media platforms.
2. Other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:

• Working knowledge of websites and social networks
• Working knowledge of musical terms to facilitate placing information on the website

Preferred Education & Experience:

• Bachelor Degree in Music

Required Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training:

• None

Preferred Licensure, Certification, and/or Specialized Training:

• OmniCMS platform knowledge and skill

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Knowledge of web technologies, new media and on-line dissemination of information.
• Knowledge of web specific software.
• Knowledge of customer service techniques.
• Knowledge of strong written communication skills.
• Ability to manage details of projects.
• Ability to integrate electronic communications and marketing.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to collect and write media content.

Physical Requirements (With or Without Accommodations):

• Visual acuity to read information from computer screens, forms and other printed materials and information.
• Able to speak (enunciate) clearly in conversation and general communication.
• Hearing ability for verbal communication/conversation/responses via telephone, telephone systems, and face-to-face interactions.
• Manual dexterity for typing, writing, standing and reaching, flexibility, body movement for bending, crouching, walking, kneeling and prolonged sitting.
• Lifting and moving objects and equipment up to 10 lbs.

Work Environment:

• Work is indoors and sedentary and is subject to schedule changes and/or variable work hours.
• This role is an on campus, in-person position.
• There are no harmful environmental conditions present for this job.
• The noise level in this work environment is usually moderate.
