The Coordinator for Student Engagement is a key staff position charged with oversight and coordination of all activities and initiatives related to Student Engagement programs across the entire portfolio of Graduate Programs.
1. Manages the logistics for new student orientations by ordering catering, arrange transportation needs, emailing incoming students, and managing other logistics needed to put on a seamless onboarding experience.
2. Works closely with student leaders, faculty program leads and other stakeholders to define the scope of student organization initiatives including but not limited to Hooding ceremonies, graduation events, networking functions, mentoring programs, social and community engagements. Ensures that stakeholder needs are anticipated and met within budget for both internal and external focused events
3. Creates detailed work plans for various department objectives and ensures schedules are accurate, achievable, and results oriented. Determines resources required to complete projects successfully according to the timeline and within budget. Reviews schedules and deliverables with senior management and determines relevant measures.
4. Executes various department initiatives according to project plans, engaging in problem solving to ensure appropriate progress.
5. Develops reports to document outcomes of various department initiatives on a regular basis. Advises senior management and other team members of the outcomes and results.
6. Maintains primary responsibility for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of expense processing, tracking and coding for Student Engagement.
7. Collaborates with Neeley Finance to understand and adhere to shifting protocols regarding budget and expenses. Ensures the Finance team has all necessary information and reports from the Student Engagement team.
8. Provides exemplary customer service to students, corporate partners, faculty, staff and guests.
9. Leads vendor relationship management for all Student Engagement initiatives and coordinates with department-wide administrative team on vendor selection and usage.
10. Initiates and manages various contract processes, to include negotiating when appropriate, while building and maintaining strategic relationships with campus-wide partners.
11. Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Communications, or a related field and 2 years of experience in program coordination, event planning, or related administrative roles

• 6 years’ experience in program coordination, event planning, or related administrative roles
